Investments in Swiss SMEs that remain independent
We contribute at the board of directors level, keep operational management decentralized, and hold investments without a fixed resale horizon.

Goba AG has been bottling mineral water in Gontenbad, Appenzell, since 1930. With Flauder, syrups, jams, and other products, the mineral spring has developed into a brand known far beyond Appenzell.
After the transition to F.G. Pfister, the company remained independent: with its own brand, its own management team, and its own heritage. This is precisely what our investment model is about. New ownership should not turn a Swiss SME into a different company, but enable it to continue its own story.

What connects us
F.G. Pfister has always been guided by a commitment to Switzerland. For our investments, this means putting capital into Swiss companies, preserving entrepreneurial substance in the country, and supporting companies in a way that ensures locations, jobs, know-how, and regional roots have a future.
Our capital comes from the assets of the F.G. Pfister Stiftung. We do not acquire companies with the intention of selling them again after a few years. We invest because we intend to hold and develop them across generations. This changes the way decisions are made, from investments in machinery to questions around how a management team is structured.
Our portfolio companies come from a range of different industries. What connects them is not their market, but the spirit with which they are meant to be led: independently, responsibly, and with respect for what they represent to their employees, customers, and regions.
Independently managed
The companies retain their brands, management teams, and established cultures. We contribute at the board of directors level, support strategic decisions, and provide capital for long-term investments. Operational responsibility remains with the management team.
Responsibility toward Switzerland industry
For every investment, we assess whether the business model, leadership, and values are aligned with ours. This includes financial stability, reliable management, ecological and social responsibility, and a contribution to the Swiss economy.
From our portfolio
Three examples showing the diversity of our investments and what connects them.
Goba AG, Appenzell
Mineral spring and manufacturer, established in 1930. Known for the Flauder brand, syrups, jams, and liqueurs. A family-owned company spanning several generations, now part of F.G. Pfister.
GROB AG, Nebikon
Gearwheels and drive components, established in 1947. Supplies customers worldwide, based in the Lucerne countryside. An example of an SME that is technically a market leader without seeking public attention.
Alder + Eisenhut, Ebnat-Kappel
Gymnastics and sports equipment, construction of sports halls and stages, established in 1891. Around 150 employees in the Toggenburg region. Swiss Made in an industry where the label has become rare.
